Coastal German Shepherd Rescue

Carly has been adopted! 09-10-2011

Female about 0 old.

Carly is one of those rock steady dogs that will fit into almost any situation. Super smart, super loving, and very devoted! She is currently in a foster home and instantly became a loving family dog. Has even adjusted to the family cat. Carly is about 8 years old with lots of life and she has the wily smarts to make things interesting!

Typical German Shepherd, Carly is a little reserved until she spends some time with you. Once she is comfortable, watch out! She loves a good massage and she will darn well tell you if she isn't done, thank you very much, with a not so subtle paw to your hand.

Carly loves to go for walks and loves other dogs and is especially excellent with small dogs. They seem to be her favorite. She doesn't bark but will definately give her foster mom the protective "narc" bark if necessary. She'll pick her favorite area in the house to keep her bed or blanket and will always sleep there. Usually near the front door or on the floor next to her owner. And it goes without saying (but we'll say it anyway!) that she is housebroken, doesn't chew and is an overall delight!!!

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
