Gunther has been adopted! 05-03-2011
Meet Gunther, aka Sir Gunther-Sterling (gotta keep with the royal wedding!) How on earth this GORGEOUS boy ended up at a shelter in the first place is very puzzling. How he stayed there until we received the urgent call for pick up or he would be euthanized is beyond imagination! He appears to be pure GSD and at only 4 - 5 months old is one big puppy who will probably hit three digits in adulthood. Sir Gunther is black and silver and he has a very soft and plush coat. His foster mom fell in love at first cuddle as he is definitely a love bug. She is also working on his crate training and house breaking which has come along well in his first week. He likes to go in his crate and take his naps all on his own. This young man adores his foster siblings, both two and four legged. For a pup his age he is remarkably calm. Chew toys are good to have around for him as he still has his first teeth.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
