Bruno has been adopted! 02-05-2011
Bruno was a stray in a high kill shelter, originally adopted by the public. As is custom, he was sent to a vet hospital for his neuter and vaccines. He had the sniffles so the vet called the adopter to let them know - they didn't want him anymore. So he was back on death row - when dogs are "rejected" by their adopters, the shelters are quick to kill them. Coastal - OC was asked to intervene and of course, we did. Bruno is a tall, lanky guy, still a pup. He is calm and easy going. His first foray out on a leash was a lazy, relaxed walk! Bruno is very thin but that will be rectified with some good food and good love! He's had some obedience as he will sit if you ask him to do so.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
