Dixie has been adopted! 09-08-2007

This is Dixie. She is a very sweet young lady who gets along well with others. Coastal was asked to rescue Dixie from a high-kill animal shelter when her time ran out, and even though we are past overflowing, once we saw her pretty face, how could we refuse? Like many rescue dogs, Dixie needs to learn how to walk on a leash and other basic obedience. She is very smart girl and will learn quickly if you are willing to teach her.

Dixie is in a foster home and improves every day. She loves to play and is reliably housebroken. She can be a bit shy around new people but every day, she gets a little braver.

Dixie is safe now, but she desperately wants and needs a place to call home. Will you be the one to give Dixie a better life - the one she deserves?

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
