Indie has been adopted! 08-13-2006

This petite white young lady has some growing to do if you take a good look at her paws and ears. While her shelter papers indicate that she is two years old, by the looks of her teeth, paws and ears, we are all guessing that she is about 10 mos old. She should weigh around 70 lbs when she reaches full maturity. She is an absolutely beautiful white shepherd.

Indie gives all indications of being an alpha lady - she would be great as an only dog but also with a submissive dog. It will be important for Indie's new family to continue to socialize her with other dogs so that she doesn't develop naughty traits!!! We have Indie living in a foster home with multiple dogs and she is learning to "share" - so far, so good, but Ms. Indie needs a strong human leader - preferably someone with shepherd experience.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
