Bart has been adopted! 02-14-2006
Sweet Bart was languishing in a high desert shelter for several weeks waiting for his people to come reclaim him. When no one showed, a caring shelter worker contacted us to help him. Of course, we said yes - Bart is a very striking bi color, probably between 2 and 3 years old. Once he gains some needed weight (dogs tend to drop pounds in a shelter environment due to the stress), he will indeed be a magnificent boy. He is quite tall and elegant.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
Our initial impressions of Bart are that he gets along fine with other dogs, is quite people oriented, happy to spend some time in a crate and could use a refresher course in obedience. Overall, he is quite a diamond in the rough!
