Mellow has been adopted! 01-09-2016
Mellow was adopted from us as a puppy - due to her adopter's change in career, she now needs a new home.
This stunner has an incredible burnt orange and black brindle coat, white socks and a white tip on the end of her tail. Mellow has a wonderfully friendly Bully-Dog personality yet being a herding breed (like Shepherds), she will learn quicker than typical Bully-Dogs. Although Mellow is extremely people friendly, she absolutely will not tolerate another dog’s first sign of aggression. “A girl must have her boundaries.” Mellow will do well in a home with a happy, confident K-9 companion or, preferably, as an only dog. She is very tuned into people, which makes walking her a relaxing pleasure.
Mellow had been a bit fearful in the past, but did quite well at her first event, happily meeting new people. She has so many great attributes: housebroken, crate trained, loves (LOVES) little kids - in her previous home, she lived with a 2-year-old who adored her. She was in heaven. She will, as most dogs do, need a strong leader who won't let her pull any shenanigans on walks and she has been able to go to day care in the right situations.
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
