Birdie has been adopted! 04-16-2011
Even though her family was notified and said they'd come to get her from the shelter, they never showed. This sweet girl most definitely had pups but we have no idea what happened to them.
This is so sad, especially to her favorite volunteer - Birdie's whole goal in life is to love & be loved by her human. No one has ever told her that she isn't a toy poodle! She will do whatever she can to climb into your lap and snuggle. She is also a go go girl, loving every minute of her walks and probably would be a wonderful candidate for a family that would like to try some advanced training. Birdie is exceptional on a leash - she will walk next to you with little pulling, once she knows what you want.
Birdie is in boarding and would love either a foster home or a forever home!
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
