Dolly has been adopted! 08-17-2013

Female Australian Shepherd /Border Collie mix about 3-5 years old. Good with kids. OK with cats. Gets along with other dogs.

Dolly's family could no longer afford the care for her skin challenges. Intercepted at a shelter by one of our volunteers, we were able to take her before they left her there.

After some simple tests, Dolly has a yeast infection that is being treated with antibiotics, several baths/week and she has ear infections (mild) that are also being treated. She is recovering quickly.

Dolly was originally found tied to a truck somewhere and taken in - she's not had the best life but you'd never know it because she is gentle & kind, happy with whomever she meets.

Dolly has lived with children before and was perfect with them.

We also noticed a slight limp in her hind leg which was xrayed. She has an old ACL injury and we have her on inexpensive pain meds - she'll never be a running partner but she loves to go for short walks and she's a tremendous addition to the couch!

Dolly, about 5 years old, is housebroken, completely trustworthy left alone all day with her buddies while her foster family is at work. She's be a wonderful addition

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
