Savannah has been adopted! 06-25-2016
Savannah is a young girl, about 1-2 years old, who is very sweet and bonds to her people quickly. Super smart, she picks up training in a flash and, beyond basic obedience, has started having some fun: learning her right from her left paw, shake, rollover, play dead, weaving between her human's legs, and then some! This girl is an absolute gem, great in the house, potty trained, and anyone would be lucky to have her as part of their family.
This cutie needs to go to someone with GSD experience, as she is strong-willed and can get overprotective if not corrected. She wasn't socialized before her rescue, so she doesn't understand how to properly mingle with other dogs. She will probably do just fine with help from her human (she's not aggressive, only scared), but isn't ready to slide right in with other dogs at this time. With proper introductions and guidance, she would do just fine!
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
