Bear has been adopted! 03-11-2016

Male German Shepherd Dog about 3-5 years old. Good with kids. Gets along with other dogs. Not cat friendly.

Bear is a gorgeous, long haired German Shepherd. He is 4 years old and weighs 96 lbs. Bear's family loves him, but unfortunately his family is moving out of the country so they are looking for a new home for him. Bear is a big, friendly boy who loves people and other dogs. He is well trained and knows lots of commands and will do whatever you tell him. He likes to please so he really loves direction.

Bear loves to hike and play fetch. He loves the dog park, dog beach and hiking. He has been on all the trails around San Diego and several peaks. He absolutely loves driving in the car. He is trained off leash. He does not go on furniture and does not chew anything. He is very friendly and socialized with farm animals and big and small dogs. Bear is NOT good with small animals and cats. Because of his size he might not be good with small children because he could knock them over. He doesn't always know how big he is. If you are looking to add a handsome, fun loving boy to your family Bear is your guy.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
