Beauty has been adopted! 09-11-2016
Meet Beauty, the mom to our 2016 B litter. This awesome girl was dumped in the shelter with her young puppies. How anyone could have thrown this girl and her babies away has us shaking our heads. She has been a joy in her foster home and adapted fast to her foster family. Life before coming to Coastal wasn't easy for Beauty. She was in poor condition when pulled from the shelter and one look in her mouth showed very worn and neglected teeth, as well. In spite of where she came from, Beauty has a wonderful temperament and is loving and trusting of people. She is very easy to live with and adores the children in her foster home. One of her favorite activities is to ride in the car and pick her "boy" up from school.
During her spay, Beauty's teeth were examined and cleaned. They removed one infected tooth and the rest, while worn, are ok. She had a hard lump removed, but it was biopsied and it was just an old injury that had calcified. She has recovered completely and is now ready to be adopted.
Beauty walks nicely on a leash and knows her commands. She is non reactive to other dogs and loves people. She has just enough energy to go on walks and keep up with the kids, but can easily change gears and chill and hang out when needed. She is also cat friendly so will be a good fit for a lot of different families. If you are looking for an awesome girl to join your family Beauty is your girl!
The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
