Blondie has been adopted! 10-15-2016

Female Yellow Labrador Retriever /German Shepherd Dog mix about 6-9 years old. Good with kids. OK with cats. Gets along with other dogs.

Blondie's family took her to the county shelter with her canine companion, who was adopted from there, leaving her behind to fend for herself. We couldn't watch another senior lose their life alone, so she was rescued and went to a foster home with big and small dogs and fit right in!

She adores people, children included, walks great on a leash, takes treats gently, is potty trained, not a barker, and an all around fantastic senior girl who would make the perfect family member.

Blondie's not going to run any marathons, as she's around 8 years old and has an older gal's hips, but she's happy just to walk around the block or hang out at home with her family. She's super sweet and would easily slide in to any household.

The minimum adoption donation for adults is $375 and the adoption donation for puppies is $500. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is tax deductible when permitted by law. The adoption donation provides that all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis ( i.e., puppies who will need to be altered by 6 mos old). Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems.
